REVIEW OF
EMS CERTIFICATION CRITERIA NORMS
Dear
Sir/Madam
Are you one of the clients of the certification body
Český lodní a průmyslový registr, s.r.o no. 3052, and a
holder of a certificate according to ČSN EN ISO 14001
containing norm ISO 14001:1996.
Let us inform you of the change to the criteria norm.
On 15 November 2004 norm ISO 14001:2004 was published,
which replaces norm ISO 14001:1996. As a result, we
received the "IAF Plan - transfer of the accredited EMS
certification from ISO 14001:1996 to ISO 14001:2004“ for
accreditation on 11.2.2005 from the Czech Accreditation
Institute.
In view of the fact that the reviewed norm does not
contain any new major requirements, the procedure is
simplified and contains the following procedure:
a) from 15.5. 2005 to 15.5.2006 our auditors will
perform examinations as part of regular supervisory
audits and renewing audits while referring to the
original norm EN ISO 14001:2004 . After introducing the
relevant ČSN they will continue according to this norm.
This period could begin earlier in individual cases
upon agreement with you, and after our preparation is
complete (accreditation certificate).
b) If the auditors discover departures/inconsistencies
in cases of regular supervision with regard to the
requirements of the reviewed norms, they will document
these according to the determined procedure, however
it will not have any effect on the validity of the
certification.
c) After
the supervision, a new certificate will be issued
with reference to EN ISO 14001:2004 and later
with reference to the relevant ČSN.
All certificates will be changed this way during the
annual period. This change will not affect the price or
supervisory audits or renewing (recertification) audits.
After 15.5.2006 the inconsistencies/departures will be
examined in all the cases with regard to the validity of
the certification.
We look forward to further cooperation. Yours sincerely
Ing. Jiří Dynybyl
